Porting cylinder heads has been the way to more power since there were engines. Now that the aftermarket heads have flooded the market, the skill of porting is becoming a lost art.
It has shown that MOST heads, aftermarket or stock, WILL increase power potential when massaged, ported, and a performance valve job added!! If your heads are "out of the box units", the power output can be increased with port work! How much power? Any where from 20 to 50 RWHP! ( 18 to 35 WHP on the MINI S ) And of course, the more mods to the engine the MORE the increase! - SO, after buying those aluminum heads, do you feel you still could use more power?
